Separate preference from evidence.
- State clearly what outcome you prefer.
- Explain why it matters to you personally or to the community.
- When making factual claims, cite the document, data or original source.
- Ask the Town to distinguish Mall Road support from Annandale redevelopment support.
- Avoid personal attacks. Focus on the decision, evidence and process.
About this resident-led site
Is Keep Annandale Green a Town of Tillsonburg website?
No. It is an independent resident-led civic engagement site. The official Town project page and survey are linked throughout this site.
Does supporting Mall Road mean I support housing at Annandale?
No. That is one of the central reasons for the independent survey. It records support for Mall Road and support or opposition to Annandale redevelopment as separate positions.
What does “Save Our Ball Diamonds” mean?
It means retaining and improving the existing Annandale Ball Diamonds should remain a formal option, not merely retaining some landscaped green areas after residential redevelopment.
Is the independent survey scientifically representative?
No. It is a voluntary, self-selected community sample. Results should be reported transparently as such and never described as a random scientific poll.
Why does the petition require email verification?
Email verification helps reduce duplicate signatures and improves the credibility of the count. Email addresses are not displayed publicly.
Can I submit a Facebook post or community discussion?
Yes. The Updates section can summarize public posts and link to the original. Important factual claims should also be supported with an underlying source where possible. Do not submit private or confidential content.
Does this site oppose all housing or all recreation investment?
No. The campaign position is specific: preserve Annandale as ball diamonds, recreation and greenspace, while evaluating Mall Road and broader community needs on their own merits.
When is the final consultation session?
The Town lists PIC #3 for Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 4:30–6:30 PM in the Lion's Den at the Tillsonburg Community Centre, 45 Hardy Ave.
