A Council motion concerning the 1977 Annandale Subdivision Agreement has become an important part of the Annandale discussion.

The motion states that dedicated parkland was conveyed to the Town as part of the Annandale Subdivision and directs staff to bring forward a report to the September 14, 2026 Council meeting detailing the covenants, conditions and provisions required to meet Council's obligations concerning that parkland.

This is significant because the Town's online Sportsfield Project survey is scheduled to remain open until September 15, one day after the report is expected to come before Council.

The motion does not, by itself, determine what the legal effect of the 1977 agreement will be. The staff report and underlying documents will matter.

Keep Annandale Green will treat the original agreement, conveyance documents, title information and staff report as evidence to be reviewed when they become available, rather than assuming a legal conclusion in advance.
